Intermediate English improves when a student writes regularly and receives clear feedback. Reading a guidebook alone rarely reveals weak grammar, missing answer structure or poor time management. A sustainable plan is one focused written practice every day, followed by a review of mistakes.
Seven-day English practice cycle
- Monday: read a textbook lesson and summarise its main idea in your own words.
- Tuesday: revise grammar and practise sentences accurately.
- Wednesday: work on comprehension and answering only what the question asks.
- Thursday: write a timed response and review organisation and spelling.
- Friday: revise relevant vocabulary and textbook exercises.
- Saturday: attempt one paper section under a timer.
- Sunday: read teacher feedback, repair recurring errors and plan next week.
The official BISE Multan HSSC model-paper page and PECTAA smart-syllabus resource should guide the choice of exercises. The board also publishes 11th and 12th question papers for comparison.
How to improve marks
Read every command word, distribute time according to the marks of each question, keep handwriting readable and leave a final review window. Ask your teacher to check one full answer, not only tick a multiple-choice set. Always confirm the current session's exact marks distribution from the official paper.
